The short version of how wikicircles works across every wiki. Individual wikis may add their own norms on top; this is the common floor.
Be useful
- Share your own experience — dial-ins, opinions on gear, what worked
for you. First-hand know-how is the whole point, not something to apologize for.
- Stubs are welcome. A two-sentence page beats no page. Start it; someone
will grow it.
- Add, don't overwrite. If your take differs from someone else's, put
yours alongside — different setups behave differently, and that's useful information, not a conflict to resolve.
Be kind
- Assume good faith and be gentle with new editors — everyone's first edit is
rough.
- Disagree about content, not people.
- No harassment, no spam, no ads. Affiliate-link farming is exactly what
wikicircles exists to be an alternative to.
Accounts and editing
- One account per person, used honestly. Don't create extra accounts to
manufacture agreement.
- Editing a wiki means you've joined it — contribute to
the communities you're actually part of.
When something's wrong
Found spam, vandalism, or someone being a jerk? Flag it to that wiki's admins, or raise it here on Meta. Serious or cross-wiki issues get handled at the platform level.
