A wikicircles wiki starts with one person who knows a hobby well enough to seed it and cares enough to tend it early on. If that's you, propose it here.
What makes a good wiki topic
- A real hobby with practitioners — something people buy gear for, argue about, and get better at over time.
- Not already covered — check the directory first; if a close wiki already exists, contribute there instead.
- Broader than a single product — "espresso" works; "the Gaggia Classic" is a page, not a wiki.
Start a request
You'll need to be signed in to file one — that's the only requirement, and it takes a minute. Topic, a proposed subdomain, and a sentence on why:
Enter the subdomain you'd want — lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, e.g. espresso for espresso.wikicircles.org:
Your request lands in the request queue, where an admin reviews it and — if it's a good fit — creates the wiki and makes you its first editor.
What happens next
New wikis are reviewed and created by hand, so there's a real person in the loop rather than instant self-service. Expect a reply on your request page or in the relevant community. Once it's live, you keep full editorial control of your wiki.
